Learn to Advocate Like an Engineer

What happens when a Hewlett-Packard engineer and global corporate trainer takes on the public school system? The system changes.

Roxanne Bradley’s journey into special education advocacy didn't begin with a textbook; it started with a family crisis. As a mother of two foster-adopted children with learning differences, she quickly realized the traditional education system wasn't designed for students who think differently.

Roxanne didn't just ask for change—she engineered it. She and her husband, David, took their fight for their daughter’s education all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court. Their landmark victory remains the only one of its kind in the 10th Circuit. Today, Roxanne takes the precision of industrial engineering and the layman's understanding of federal law and packages them into high-impact online classes for parents and professionals.

Why Learn from an Engineer-Advocate?

In her classes, Roxanne does more than discuss special education rules; she teaches students how to apply them. Her professional background at HP focused on "User Experience"—the art of making complex systems easy for anyone to navigate. She applies that same logic to help parents master the special education process.

In her online sessions, students learn how to:

  • Simplify the System: Roxanne strips away the confusing "education-speak" to reveal exactly what the law requires and how it applies to a specific child’s needs.

  • Master Goal-Setting: Using the same high-level training methods she taught at Fortune 500 companies, she shows parents how to build measurable, data-driven goals that lead to real academic progress.

  • Negotiate with Diplomacy: Students learn "The Manager’s Strategy"—a professional approach to navigating school politics and bureaucracy while maintaining positive relationships with the school team.

  • Identify Critical Gaps: Roxanne teaches parents how to view a student's learning plan through an engineer’s lens, spotting the structural flaws that prevent a child from succeeding and fixing them before they cause further delays.
