Social Media Acronyms You Should Know

I just read an article, Feeling anxious? You’re not alone. Anxiety is now the number one health issue for students. The information provided in this article is concerning and uplifting at the same time. Mental health providers at Penn State University indicated that the top three concerns stated by students were anxiety (55.1%), depression (45.26%), and stress (43.18%). The rate of students with mental health issues has doubled since 2000. This is concerning. However, one of the reasons cited was the willingness on behalf of students to seek help. This is the uplifting part. Seeking help is no longer seen as a fault or stigma.

In reading this article, I, myself, experienced some anxiety. I felt like I was reading a foreign language there were some new acronyms I was expected to know.
